Mihn
1. How would others characters describe his
character?
Sophie
describes him as an attractive Asian guy, who is tall and skinny. "A long
face with high cheekbones and worm brown eyes." (Pg 147) He had very badly cut, jet black hair.
2.
How would you describe the relationships that his character has with
others?
He
has a very good relationship with Sophie, as he is attracted towards her. He
also has a relationship with his older brother who was in jail, and he seems to
be the only one in the family that doesn't hate him. His relationship with his
family is quite average, much like other's, but does not like that they don't
like their eldest son. His relationships with others are not mentioned.
3. How does this character change
throughout the story? How would you describe him or her?
His
character doesn't change at all in the story, however he keeps his relationship
with Sophie even after the accident. His perspective changed on the Big Event,
and he doesn't blame Sophie. He seems like a patient and loving person, who
still has feelings for Sophie. This also shows that he is a forgiving person.
4. What key themes does this character
help the reader to understand?
Some
evident themes this character helps the reader understand are, the theme of
teenage love, the theme of patience and the theme of forgiveness. Teenage love
is shown very much in this story and it is very clear that Sophie is madly in
love with him. The theme of patience is also shown because of the quote
"I've been waiting for you." (Pg 389) This quote can also be used for
the theme for forgiveness as it shows that he has forgiven her.
The
plot helps the reader understand the feelings Mihn has for Sophie, even at the
end of the book.
